Season 4 of “Audibles with Jason Scarborough” continued this past weekend, with episode 6 airing on TV stations all across the Magnolia State.

Episode 6 features Mississippi State head baseball coach Chris Lemonis, who led the Bulldogs to the 2021 College World Series national baseball championship.

Born in Biloxi to an MSU engineering student dad and Gulf Coast born mother, Lemonis moved around a bit when he was younger, settling in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for his high school days and then eventually playing college baseball at The Citadel.

Under Hall of Fame coaches Chal Port and Fred Jordan, Lemonis learned many of the lessons he still puts in practice today, both as a coach and as a person.

Lemonis made his way back to Starkville in 2019, coaching the team he loved from afar his entire life, back on the campus where he was at one time a 2-year old living with his parents in married housing at MSU. And in 2021, he led those Bulldogs to their first ever baseball national championship in the “toughest year of his life,” according to Lemonis.

Hear from one of the great coaches our state has know, national champion Chris Lemonis.
