WATCH: #5 Bulldogs allow only 2 hits, best in-state Tigers

#5 Mississippi State opened the home portion of its schedule with a 7-3 victory over Jackson State on Wednesday at Dudy Noble Field. Seven Bulldog pitchers combined to 2-hit the Tigers, while the MSU offense pounded out 10 hits in the victory.

Second-year freshman Kamren James opened the scoring with his 2nd career home run, a 2-run shot in the 1st inning. Drew McGowan and Landon Jordan added RBIs in the contest and a double steal accounted for the fifth run of the contest.
