An electric, 63-yard punt return for a touchdown by Zavion Thomas sent Mississippi State into the locker room at halftime with loads of momentum, but #1 Georgia ultimately pulled away after the intermission as MSU fell 45-19 at Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday.

Thomas’ punt return pulled State to within a score at 17-12 in the waning moments of the second quarter. However, Georgia scored 28 of the game’s next 35 points to defeat MSU.

MSU QB Will Rogers and safety Collin Duncan met with the media postgame to discuss the loss. Video is courtesy of Hail State Athletics.
