Let’s be honest. Ole Miss’ defense last year wasn’t just bad, it was one of the worst nationally. The Rebels were 100th in a possibility of 127 teams in red zone defense, 101st out of 127 in rushing defense, and 126th out 127 in total defense (next to dead last) It wasn’t bad-it was putrid.
Ole Miss linebacker Jacquez Jones feels like his Rebel defensive mates are about to turn the corner with a season under their belts and a spring practice period they didn’t have last season to fine tune their preparations for the the high-octane offenses of the SEC.
Jones addressed that and much more as he met with the media following the first spring practice under 2nd year coach Lane Kiffin. Video is courtesy of Ole Miss Athletics.
