Unlike their previous meeting, the Rebels were tested by Missouri in the 2nd half, but the results remained the same as Ole Miss used a solid defensive performance to beat the Tigers 60-53 at Mizzou Arena Tuesday evening. The Rebels advanced to 3-0 against teams in the top-25 and became the first squad since 1998-1999 to knock off a ranked opponent twice in the same season.
The Rebels shot 38% from the floor while forcing Missouri to shoot 35%, making Ole Miss 9-0 when forcing their opponent to shoot under 40 percent. Devontae Shuler led the Rebels with 14 points while Luis Rodriguez, Jarkel Joiner and Romello While each had 10 points (White also pulled down 9 rebounds)
Ole Miss head basketball coach Kermit Davis and forward Romello White talked about the big road win after the game. Video is courtesy of Ole Miss Sports Productions.
