Chris Sargent belted a pair of home runs and drove in 5 runs to lead Southern Miss over UCONN for a second-straight, one-run victory at Pete Taylor Park Saturday afternoon with a 7-6 decision.

It was Sargent’s first two homers as a Golden Eagle as both were hit off the Tradition of Excellence billboard in leftfield. The series concludes with an 11 am contest Sunday.
