#2 Ole Miss enters this weekend at 20-4 after sweeping its 2nd straight SEC series at Alabama and have won 7 in a row. The Rebels are 6-0 in SEC play, the program’s best conference start since 1964. The Rebels are the only team in the conference still undefeated in league play.
Ole Miss puts that start on the line at #15 Florida this weekend. Ironically, the last two times the teams have met it’s been a sweep for the home team. The Gators were broomed by the Rebels in 2019 in Oxford, and Ole Miss was swept during its last trip to Gainesville in 2017. Also ironic, the all time series is tied 51-51.
First pitch is set for 7pm tonight as Gunnar Hoglund is the projected starter on the bump for the Rebs.
