Building leads has not been a problem for Kentucky basketball in recent weeks. Holding on to them has been another matter though. After blowing double-digit leads in 3 of the last 4 games, Kentucky finally proved capable of building a substantial lead and piling on Saturday in a 70-55 win at No. 20 Tennessee.
Wildcats’ freshman forward Isaiah Jackson continued his recent stellar play with 16 points and 7 rebounds. After combining for 50 points in Tennessee’s win over Kentucky in Rupp Arena earlier this month, Volunteers freshmen Jaden Springer and Keon Johnson combined for 19 points on 6-of-25 shooting in the rematch.
